SouthEast Sponsors Festival of the Bluegrass

This year, SouthEast Telephone was corporate sponsors for The Festival of the Bluegrass, at Kentucky Horse Park, located in Lexington, Ky.

It was a fun filled event that was great for the entire family.  The festival lasted June 10th through June 13th and was a great success.  Bluegrass bands from all over Kentucky came out to sing and promote their albums. 

SouthEast Telephone set up an area for visitors to use a computer where they had access to the Internet.  Since most of the fans were staying on the campgrounds, this made it easier for them to check their e-mail, stock prices, and ebay accounts.

Wes Maynard, director of network operations and Tim Sammons, field engineer set up webcams for bluegrass lovers to view the festival from their homes.  

"The live webcams provided a way for people both near and far to check out the action at the Festival of the Bluegrass," said Wes Maynard, director of network operations.

Maynard's band, Pickintime, also made an appearance at the festival.
