E-mail Storage PolicyE-mail policies vary widely from provider to provider. SouthEast Telephone takes great pride in our policies and procedures and we consider our valued customers in all our business decisions. Customer fairness and consistency is of utmost importance to us. For your information, our policies and procedures regarding E-mail Account Quotas and Inactive E-Mail Accounts are outlined below. We hope that these definitions and explanations as to what to expect with our E-Mail service will be both informative and beneficial to you. This is not intended to discourage the use of SouthEast Telephone Webmail, but to enhance the efficiency and usefulness for our Valued Customers. We encourage you to use our Webmail along with your other e-mail programs to maximize your Internet experience. Please feel free to call our Technical Support Department at 888-364-9000 if you have questions about any of the following information or any other concerns. We appreciate your business and welcome all your questions and comment. E-Mail QuotaSouthEast Telephone provides 10 Mb of storage per E-mail Account: This means that you can store up to that amount in your account at any given time. It is your responsibility as a customer to maintain your E-mail account and keep your storage within the 10 Mb limit. This can be achieved by checking your E-mail account on a regular basis and deleting the mail that you no longer need. Our Web Mail product will enable you to check your account on the Internet from anywhere. We do, however, recommend if you plan to save all of your E-mail correspondence that you do it with a "pop3" E-mail client such as Netscape Mail, Microsoft Outlook or any other third party vendor. These products will efficiently run on your computer and when you download E-mail, this mail will stay on your computer instead of the SouthEast Telephone server. By storing E-mail on your computer's hard drive, this will keep your saved mail safe from any deletion from our server and will also allow you to remain within your 10 Mb allotted quota. Over QuotaCustomers will receive a telephone call and/or E-mail from our Technical Support Department for any account that exceeds this quota (10Mb) for a period of 30 days. Customers should reduce the amount of E-Mail stored on our server to remain under quota immediately upon receiving notice. If a customer fails to respond within 60 days, SouthEast Telephone will remove all mail from the account and set the account to a locked status. Customers will still own their account username; however, the SouthEast Telephone Customer Care Center must be called to have the account reset. Inactive AccountsInactive Accounts are E-mail accounts that have not been actively used or maintained within a period of time. These accounts often accumulate spam and junk mail, which uses up large unnecessary amounts of storage space on our server. SouthEast Telephone will use the following procedure concerning Inactive Accounts: After 60 days of E-Mail account inactivity, SouthEast Telephone will remove all E-Mail from the account and set the account to a locked status. Customers will still own their account username; however, the SouthEast Telephone Customer Care Center must be called to have the account reset. |
